iPhone 7: Apple's Best Yet

Way back in June of 2007, Apple entered into the smartphone world with the iPhone 1 and quickly became a leader second to none. Now nearly 10 years later, iPhone is on its 9th generation.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which were released in the United States on Sept. 16 of this year, show just how much the iPhone has advanced over the years. A 12-megapixel camera, longer battery life, new speakers and AirPod head phones are just a few of the features that make the iPhone7 and iPhone 7 plus the most advanced iPhone yet. Oh, and did I mention both are water and dust resistant?

Whether photography is your profession, a hobby or you just want to make sure your selfie game is “on point,” the new advanced camera system in both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are sure to exceed all of your expectations. Both phones come with a 12-megapixel camera with image stabilization, 6-element lens and many more features that will ensure bold, bright and professional looking photos and videos every time.

When I first read about the lack of a headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus, I will admit I was a little turned off. However, once I learned that Apple took out the headphone jack to make room for a faster chip (A10 Fusion Chip) and a bigger battery—giving the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus the longest battery life of all the iPhones, I’ve become a believer. I’m lucky if the battery on my iPhone 6 lasts for one day.

The lack of a headphone jack had many people wondering at first how they were going to listen to their music. Apple’s solution— the new AirPod wireless headphones.

AirPods connect to an iPhone via bluetooth and have an impressive battery life. Set up takes just seconds and after that, your AirPods will always be automatically connected. If wireless headphones just are not for you, both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come with a headphone jack adapter that will allow you to continue using your old headphones.

Although the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are NOT waterproof, both are more water resistant compared to older iPhone models. This means you no longer have to panic if you spill water on your phone or accidentally drop it in the sink. Basically as long as your are not submerging your phone in water for any length of time you are safe!

Another new feature unique to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is the two new color options. Along with gold, rose gold, white and black Apple now offers a sleek and shiny jet black and a classic matte black. With all these amazing color options, I think choosing what color is going to be the toughest decision for iPhone 7 customers to make.

Whether you like all the new features or not, you can’t deny that both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are full of amazing new innovations.
