This week in Rochester College athletics the RC men’s basketball team took on University of Maine at Fort Kent, while the RC women’s team took on both Silver Lake College and Florida College in home games. RC hockey also had a busy week with a two game series against Adrian College.
The 4th ranked Warriors took on the University of Maine at Fort Kent in a home game on Saturday, coming away with an 83-76 win. RC was led by Jaylen Larry who had 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Angelo Griffis added 23 points and 8 rebounds. RC is now 26-1 on the season and 14-0 at home.
The RC women’s basketball played in two games this week coming away with wins in both games. The first game was on Saturday as the Warriors took on Silver Lake College, coming away with a tough 70-67 win. RC was led by Allysa Copley who had 14 points and 7 rebounds. On Sunday the Warriors took on Florida College, winning 78-65, as Devan Valko led RC in scoring with 20 points. RC is now 11-14 on the season with five games remaining in their season.
RC hockey took on Adrian College in a home and away series on Friday and Saturday. RC struggled to find their offense in both games falling in game one of the series 7-0 and 6-1 in game two. Scoring the loan goal for the Warriors was Brandon Mezuk, with the assist coming from Michael DiFranco. RC is now 15-12 on the season.
