Psi Chi is using Moodle in a new way this fall with the creation of Solace Support. Solace Support, a peer-led support group, meets virtually on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Solace Support can be accessed by searching for “Solace Support” under all courses.

Solace Support Gives Voice to Students

Solace Support was envisioned in spring of 2016 with the intent to give a voice to students. “There are so many hurting people who need an outlet, or just someone to talk to”.

The peer-led support group uses a chat room and is completely student led, but has faculty sponsors who can be contacted if an emergency arises.

Solace Support Defintion

The Solace Support homepage reads,

“Solace Support is a peer support group. Our aim is to give students a judgment-free place to voice concerns that might be bothering them. Perhaps you need someone to talk to about adjusting to campus life, trouble with a roommate or suite-mate, feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, or maybe you simply need a listening ear.”

Questions About Solace Support

In the future, Solace Support hopes to meet on more nights of the week.
