Let’s face it, breakups are hard, emotional and just painful. Nobody said it would be easy.

Luckily, these six songs to jam to will help fix your broken heart.

“Shout Out to My Ex”

Artist: Little Mix

The title pretty much says it all. One line in the song really stands out, “Here’s to my ex, hey look at me now.”

Shout out to the person who broke your heart; this heartbreak made you stronger and better than ever. They are missing out on a great person like you.

Artist: Kristinia DeBarge

This is a throwback, but definitely a go-to song. “Got me with my girls and we’re singing it,” is a line in the song that emphasizes the importance of being around your friends during the tough times.

The song is all about girl power and letting nothing stand in your way. It is also an upbeat song and fun to dance to with your friends. So get with your girlfriends and dance like nobody’s watching.

“Love Myself”

Artist: Hailee Steinfeld

There is a certain line in the song that is all about self-love, “I love me, gonna love myself no I don’t need anyone else.”

This means that you do not always need to have someone else to be loved. You have yourself to love and care for. Go do your own thing and love you and only you.

“no tears left to cry”

Artist: Ariana Grande

“Ain’t got no tears left to cry,“ is a phrase that is repeated throughout the song that many people can relate to.

After you have had a good cry about the breakup and your tear ducts are all dried up, you start to realize that there is no need to cry about your ex anymore.

“Tonight I’m Getting Over You”

Artist: Carly Rae Jepsen

Again, this is another throwback. “No more crying, to get me through. I keep dancing ‘till the morning with somebody new. Tonight, I’m getting over you.”

This song will definitely cheer you up and get you into a dancing mood.

“Since U Been Gone”

Artist: Kelly Clarkson

Get ready to jam out to this song and sing your heart out.

“But since you been gone, I can breathe for the first time,” is a recurring line in the song that most people know and belt at the top of their lungs.

That particular line means that you can finally come up for air and not feel like you must hold your breath any longer. You have more power and control over your life.

Most people will experience a breakup or two in their lifetime. It is important to remember that the heartache is temporary and that having a good jam session will help ease the pain.
